This program will permit you to manage your finances, such as bank accounts, mutual funds, investments, and credit cards. You keep records of each transaction. It keeps records of all types of information: phone numbers and addresses, doctor visits, ideas, books read, and such. They can be found quickly and easily, using cross keys to make it better. Prepare taxes and budgets. Deal with foreign currency. Check utility bills by calculating the bill based upon the rates as published in the state tariffs. Very wonderful and powerful. The program has been tested for many years. This was originally written in 1986, and used continuously since then. Originally written in Dbman, and now in Borland Delphi.

  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Manage your stock portfolio. It keeps records of all transactions, using both dollar values and number of shares. Track your profits and losses. This permits you to examine your fund history.

  • Multiple users. Several people can run this program on the same computer, without each person's bank data interfering with the other person's.
  • Queries: Any type of query, using standard query language (SQL). Examples: 1. Find the magazines paid by credit card last March. 2. Search by bank, date, or budget, which are indexed items. 3. Set filters, such as check numbers 0 and tax deductible and paid_to_from = 'Science' 4. Change values in the tables based upon conditions. 5. Get a list of annual expenses on charity. 6. Sample queries are given in Help|Queries, for you to cut and paste into the query box, and modify to your needs.
  • Internet access: No need to rely upon Bookmarks in your browser. Keep lists of URL's, organized in any way you want. Select a URL, press a menu, and you will immediately go to the site. Received via e-mail a URL that wrapped? No problem. Enter the URL in the program, and it will remove blanks and line feeds, and bring you to the site.
  • Phone dialing: Misc|Dial Phone dials the phone. You are prompted to enter a number. This number is stored in the registry. The next time you can redial without entering the number. You can dial using numbers or letters. The program will automatically add the outside line code if any is defined.
  • If Call Wait is checked, then the cancel call wait code (usually *70,) will be added. This code is also defined in the phone table.
  • An access code may be added, if any is defined. E.g., you may want to dial 10-ATT before each call. If Access is checked, then the access code will be dialed, except for your local area codes. To add local area codes to the database, do this in Phone|Setup Phone. E.g., 800 and 888 would normally be added to the local area codes database. Once you check or uncheck Access, it is stored in the registry for next time the program runs.
  • Elapsed time is displayed on the main form. You can reset this at any time. You can have it automatically reset every time you make a phone call by checking Misc|Phone Reset Clock.
  • If the number is busy, it will wait a number of seconds and retry for a number of times. You set the number of seconds and number of retries in the phone table. This happens only when Busy is checked, and not for dialing from the list of banks. If Busy is not checked, you have the option of dialing a code, such as a beeper number.
  • Clicking Dial Code will bring up a prompt box for you to dial the code. Dialing banks acts as if the Busy option is not checked. If Busy is not checked, then the modem will automatically hang up after 2 minutes. This is long enough to enter the codes. If Busy is checked, you must hang up the modem prior to picking up the handset, in order to avoid hearing screeching sounds. Phone| Hang Up. The menu items, Access, Busy, etc. are stored into the registry. When you enter the program, the values are the same as the values set before you left the program the previous day.
  • Speed dial. The speed dial menu works as follows. After you dialed a number, you can store it in one of 10 speed dial locations. Press Input, and you will be prompted for the name. Press a speed dial number, and this number will appear in an input box. You can accept this, or modify it. When you press Okay, the number is in the speed dial. The name will be the caption. The hint is the number. Press the speed dial menu, or Alt + number (e.g., Alt 1) to speed dial number 1.
  • Enter the table ch_fi, the list of banks. Choose a bank. You can dial the bank by pressing the proper menu item. You then can enter your credit card number or other numbers when prompted by pressing the proper menu item. In three minutes the modem will automatically hang up. You may continue speaking, of course. This is a time saver, automatically dialing all your bank codes!
