Click on this to view the projects.

You may add projects for various clients. You may specify the status. A project may have subprojects. When you add a new subproject, you then specify the root project. The hourly rate for a subproject may differ from the hourly rate of the project. However, the invoices refer to only the root project.

You enter a rate, which is the hourly rate. You may enter a daily rate instead of the rate. This is if you get paid per day or fraction of a day, not per hour.

Duration is given rounded to a given number of minutes, with the default one minute.

Select a project, and double click to close this window. The timing will refer to this project.

You cannot start the timer until you select a project.

One field is Last Date. This is the last date a report was submitted. When you prepare a new report, it will start from this date, so that the material in the previous report will not be repeated.

Filters

The first menu, clear Filter, clears the filter. Choose Status Filter allows you to choose a status, such as In Progress, to filter on. It also sets Active = true.

Root project sets the filter to the root project. You can then see all the subprojects of this root. For example, you may be a tutor, and have many students. Each student is a project. The root project would be Tutor. This way you can view you entire tutoring activity, or just the activity with one student.

Root default sets the filter to the default root project.

Roots NOT empty. Say you tutor many students. Each student is a project, with a rate and such. The root would be "tutoring". Say you wish to find a student, make this the default project, and add to the timesheet. One way is to click on this item. Here you will see all roots that have projects. You will see among the others "tutoring". Double click on this, and you will then see all the projects that have this root. This makes it easy to select a student.

Show roots only shows you the list of root projects.

You can also find projects by entering a word or phrase, and a text search will be done.

Click on the headers on the grid to see sorting.

ProjectGrid

If we click on ID, the projects will be sorted in the order they were made. This way you can find the last project.

If we click on Name, they are sorted on Name.

If we click on Root project, as shown in the picture above, the sorting is by root and project. E.g., you have a root project Tutoring. You may have many students, each of which is a project. You may charge each student a different rate. If you click on Root project, you will see all the students together, after the project Tutoring.

The white bar is the incremental search bar. It always searches for project by name, case insensitive, regardless of the sorting.

The arrows are navigation arrows, to move to different records or to add or delete records.
