There are a few items you need to do to setup the program.
You have to setup the email, giving your smtp and such, so that you can send out email.
You can have several setups, with various user names. Select one, and press Save Setup to save it. If you want to create a new setup with a different name, press Copy setup. You will be prompted for the name.
If you want to send one email to a certain person, with a different From address, but do not want to change the setup, press's Temp Email before you press Setup Email. Pressing Setup Email will then open the email form. A button will appear on the upper left with the From name and email you chose. When you send out email, this will be used. If you wish to send out the email with the default email name, click this button. Once the email is sent out, the temp From name is gone, and the default returns.
The item Minimize Timer gives the time the program will automatically minimize and close tables. This saves your work, and reduces system resources. However, this will not happen while editing a record.
Date Format permits you to change the format of the dates to dd/mm/yyyy.
The From Address gives this data.
The program does not use Microsoft's Registry, which is cumbersome, but ini files. These files are read only once, when the program is opened, and saved when the program is closed normally.
You can open Email, select a setup, and then open Email again, select a different setup. You can now send emails using whichever setup you want. Both are stored in the same database. E.g., one setup is Ron J. The other is Ron San. Send emails out with the sender as Ron J. Click to the other program, and send out as Ron San. Look at the hint in Setup on the email database window to see which setup you are.
When you close both Email programs, the last one closed will write to the ini file for the future default settings.
