Understanding

It is vital for the teacher to understand the students. I was mentoring a teacher for 20 days. One boy who was seated near a window asked to be seated somewhere else, as he found the window seat distracting. The teacher refused. The boy exhibited behavior problems. I spoke with him. He was a very pleasant boy, and upset at the teacher's refusal.

I find no justification for the teacher's behavior. A teacher must listen to the students. A teacher must be aware of the students' feelings.
