Here are some suggestions and thoughts that have helped me over the years, which I am happy to share with you:

 

Give people attention. Focus on each person. Keeping people happy is an excellent objective. Look for something good to say, and say it. Give deserved praise. Give each individual your full attention. The wrong things to do are things like this: Focusing on the material, and not the student; being impatient, having a scowl.

 

Presentations: The correct way is:

 

The wrong way is topic, sentence, body, conclusion. Note that we start with the conclusion. Presenting ideas is not like telling stories, where we give the conclusion at the end.

 

Don't rush - think. We must be relaxed when eating in order to properly digest the food. In a similar fashion, we must be relaxed when thinking, in order to properly process the information.
